A larger flow meter carries a higher maximum flow, but its stated ±1% accuracy band starts at a higher flow too. Banjo’s MFM100, MFM220 and MFM300 illustrate that trade-off.
| Model | Full-port size | Maximum flow | ±1% catalogue band |
|---|---|---|---|
| MFM100 | 1 in | 110 US GPM | 11–110 US GPM |
| MFM220 | 2 in | 300 US GPM | 30–300 US GPM |
| MFM300 | 3 in | 670 US GPM | 67–670 US GPM |
Banjo specifies ±1% of reading between 10% and 100% of maximum flow. Below that band, from the model’s cutoff to 10%, its stated tolerance is ±3%. The lower thresholds above are calculated from the catalogue maxima.

At 50 US GPM
The MFM220 is above its 30-US-GPM threshold and within its ±1% band. The MFM300 is below its 67-US-GPM threshold, placing that flow in its lower band when above cutoff. The same transfer therefore falls into different stated accuracy bands on the two meters.
At the other end, a 400-US-GPM target exceeds the MFM220’s 300-US-GPM maximum. The minimum and maximum working flows establish the useful range together.
The liquid and installation complete the measurement
The reinforced-polypropylene flow tube contains stainless-steel electrodes for electromagnetic measurement of water and most conductive liquids. Petroleum-based liquids do not suit that measuring principle, and the instruction manual excludes flammable-liquid use.
The flow tube needs to remain full, and Banjo recommends ten meter diameters of straight pipe on both sides. The 2-inch example needs 20 inches before and after; the 3-inch example needs 30 inches on each side.
For the cited models, the catalogue lists a 200 PSI maximum and a 0–150°F temperature range, approximately −18–66°C. The installation guide explains orientation, EP indications and the optical controls.
