The nozzle tip forms the spray pattern. The cap retains and positions it on the body, while the seal closes the liquid connection. A worn tip can therefore be replaced without replacing every part of a serviceable nozzle assembly.
Hypro lists tip-only and FastCap selections separately:
| Family and size | Tip only | FastCap | Specified strainer |
|---|---|---|---|
| 3D, 100°, size 03 | 3D100-03 | FC-3D100-03 | TS01-100 |
| GuardianAIR, 110°, size 04 | GA110-04 | FC-GA110-04 | 50 mesh in the model table |
The prefix changes the supplied assembly
The FC prefix identifies the FastCap order. A tip-only number supplies the replacement tip for a suitable existing retaining arrangement. The installed cap and seal remain part of that assembly, so damage to either needs to be repaired alongside the tip.
The cap must also match the nozzle body’s connection system. Similar bayonet shapes and familiar colours can appear on different systems; the body’s manufacturer specification establishes the mating cap.
The strainer follows the exact tip
Hypro’s 3D table pairs size 03 with TS01-100 and size 04 with TS01-50. Changing orifice size can therefore change the prescribed strainer even within the same family.
For an inclined pattern such as 3D, the assembly also positions the spray direction. Correct retention and orientation let the selected tip produce the intended pattern across the boom.
